Fast Friends

An interview with the West Los Angeles newspaper The Argonaut

“Kendall Milton and Lily Drew, both 24, met at Loyola Marymount University in Westchester, where they studied screenwriting and learned that they had some serious comedy kismet as well. “We just ended up in funny situations and we thought we should be writing this down,” says Milton. Out of their experiences — such as pitching a proto-version of “Love Not Likes” to a Sony executive while wearing German dirndls — The Eskimo Sisters were born. The name is a mix of references, they say, including a reclaiming of the not quite PC term “Eskimo brothers” (two men who’ve slept with the same woman), a nod to its sibling slang term “Eskimo sisters” (two women who’ve slept with the same guy), and some of the duo’s own college shenanigans (more on that later)."

An interview we did on the Josh Braun Podcast about the way writing has changed us and the crazy shit we’ve done to break into this industry!

#IAMMANY

Founder of the global fashion brand, Rebecca Minkoff, quoted a brand statement I wrote for “The Eskimo Sisters” in her #IAMMANY campaign

See the full brand statement below:

“We aren’t just one thing. We are many. We are writers, actresses, producers, directors, business women, sisters, daughters, friends, travelers, justice seekers, singers (at the top of our lungs in the car to Waitress the Musical when we’re sad), storytellers, fragile millennials, intellectual, passionate sexual unapologetic human beings rewriting the narrative around women and busting out of the box society has created for us. We are powerhouses who bloomed from mistreated little girls. Sometimes we feel hot, sometimes we don’t. We are Queens, Kings, Princesses, dragons, unicorns or whoever the fuck we want to be.
